Hello Homemade Lifers,

I'm extremely new here, but what I've seen of the forum so far looks fantastic, and right up my street. Thank you for letting me join.

My name is Korban Blake, I tend to write books, paint pictures, and plant vegetables. Current projects include constructing a plastic bottle greenhouse using several salvaged pallets and about 6 million (well, it looks like that many) plastic 2 litre bottles; and digging up the lawn to turn it into veggie patches.

Looking forward to chatting with you and sharing ideas etc.

Hello, you're very welcome here, glad you like what you see.

I get a (some might say excessive !) satisfaction from making useful stuff from junk, though a greenhouse from pallets and bottles sounds hard work. Love to see it when you've done !

Welcome, Korban. Looking forward to finding out more about what you do (and seeing photos????). Have you come across 'Grow Food Not Lawns'? One of my favourite Facebook links - loads of ideas for growing food using repurposed materials. Our lawn is currently being remodelled by our chickens (and they're not thinking 'flat' or 'green'!!!)
