Quilting
I do do things other than growing stuff. I've usually got some sewing on the go but I forget to post anything.
So, here are a couple of bits I've done. I started the chicken thing ages ago and it has been sitting waiting for eyes. It's going to go on a small bit of redundant wall in the hall. The other quilt I've just made for me because I enjoy the process. It's only the 2nd full sized quilt I have done and I'm really pleased with it. The stars have purple stars on the fabric but they don't show up in the picture.

As a sewer (as in sewing not sewage) myself I can see how much precise work and care must have gone into those, Ploshkin - they're terrific. And your choice of colours and patterns is lovely too. I particularly like the monochrome chickens with the little bits of red.

Re: Quilting
My mother does this. She uses a specific type of thread with needles and she has a great finish.
