Also Bacon and Egg PIE.
Don't forget to use an egg in the pastry !
Serve it cold, with a salad and some home made mayonaisse.
Which, if my memory serves me correctly, is what JellyB and I did one very eggy day up in Madchester.
I did the pastry (sweet and savoury) and the bacony stuff, JellyB did the lemon curd and meringue bits, and we pooled our skillz for the mayo

Hehe, I was going to say the very same thing as TMG
You could always send a few to me. I have none. My girls haven't laid anything for over a week now. Longest time I've been without eggs

Re: Egg Recipes
I like hard boiled eggs, peeled & covered with cheese sauce. Makes a meal with veggies or a snack with bread & butter.

Re: Egg Recipes
Inspired by both the above posts
Egg Custard Tarts
Those Nargis Kebab things that the Hairy Berks did last week
Kedgeree
But if you do nothing else, you should definitely, definitely, definitely do Lemon Meringue PIE with home made lemon curd
(or lime, or even orange curd)

Egg curry
Ham and egg pie
That River Cafe chocolate dessert thingy everyone made when the book came out that uses 12 eggs and a pound of butter.

Re: Egg Recipes
I've got a chocolate cake recipe that I think uses 6 eggs for the one cake!
Very yummy and worked really well as a birthday cake for someone - in fact, IIRC, it was for my own birthday!

I bet my Bacon and Egg PIE is a Zillion times better than your Ham and egg pie !
And my Kedgeree kicks your Egg Curry to death.
But it's good to see we are on more or less the same wavelength.
I'm even prepared to concede you Black Pudding Eggs over the Nargis Kebabs - as long as you use proper Black Pudding from Bury Market - rather than strange overly Oaty Southern Nonsense.
My other 'recipe' is dead simple - just hard boil them - then every time you go anywhere near the fridge you'll find a tasty snack waiting for you.
Buy some smoked sea-salt to have with them.
Actually, if you haven't already done so, buy some smoked sea salt anyway.
It's Bl**dy Brilliant !

Re: Egg Recipes
Scotch eggs, you can make them & freez them, then just heat through to eat. Also add ceese to add a bit more flavour.

Re: Egg Recipes
You would need quite a few meese to cover a scotch egg. Dormeese are a protected species, and I wouldn't risk it with housemeese.
GB is the one to ask - she is good at catching and processing small domestic rodents Although with her current arsenal there might be even less left of the meese to make sausagemeat out of.

Re: Egg Recipes
Billy I have NOT had lessons from Gino on cooking such things, & I would have to be really starving to even think about it.

Re: Egg Recipes
I might try scotch eggs with rabbit, or squirrel even... perhaps quails eggs with a squirrel coating. Sounds quite nice.

How about Hedgehog ?
There'd be a certain aptness with the rough crunchy outside and the soft middle.
You could call them Spiny Normans

Re: Egg Recipes
Scotch egg made from squirrel...now THERE is an idea!
Kills two birds with one stone...solves my egg glut AND the "getting other people to eat the squirrel I have shot" issue.....
I have a cunning plan....................
