Did we get any answer to WTF any of it had to do with waking upright?
Perhaps HL's rank could be changed to Abstruse Goose.

Not surprised Badger....I had noticed on the Arctic Snow and Ice Data your part of the world has been 12degC above long term average and is not ice locked this winter...thought to put something in the climate change area as Europe has had a taste of ice age possibilities....its all very confusing for us all!

Re: "Treehugger" is an offensive term.
we are defiantly seeing a climate shift here in Canada, the pine beetle has made it over the Rockies, that is scary as there are now hundred of thousands of acres of dead pine in Western Canada and its moving East, the winter has usually prevented the beetle migrating over the Rockies and kept it in BC, not any more.
We are seeing longer infestations of deer ticks and I was actually bitten by a mosquito 2 weeks ago.
So having spring a month early is nice, but scary

Example --- one of the (magnetic sign) bumper stickers on the back of my car says "Tree hugging dirt worshipper" (the other is "Ignore the environment; it will go away")

Why does it so much matter what we are all called?

I agree in part but when I first joined I thought MrsC actually was a freegan and TBH I don't want people thinking that of me if I have that label.
Some-one might see - Green Rosie, Freegan, was advertising a gite but be put off if they think I go round taking food from bins to sustain my family.
Re: "Treehugger" is an offensive term.
In some way the terms are rewards for posting on the forum. Yes ok its only quantity...but most people like their efforts to be recognised. It could be terms like different birds from ground hugging ones up to the real heights...or names of a river as it grows more mature.

I did consider things like that, but I wanted to get away from rank being a reward, I just wanted it to be a bit of fun

Wasn't quite sure what to make of "Go to gal" when I first saw it, but I like the vitality and wish I had the energy to match it at the moment!
I think I must "go to" and do some ironing
