I was given a bag of tulip bulbs in late December so planted them later than the recommended date. Mind you, with the wierd mild/freezing weather we've been having, the bulbs won't know where they are anyway, so us 'late planters' will probably be fine!!

Good news! When I got back from work I dug over the flowerbeds in the front garden so I can put compost on them at the weekend.
Bad news! When I got back from work I dug over the flowerbeds in the front garden so I can put them compost on them at the weekend....without realising that the weed seedlings I was digging in were actually Calendula which I planted in the autumn
