Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Ok so is that agreed?
We post to say we have got the parcel and if the person we send it on to doesn't post within a few days to say they have got it, we pm them.
Also we don't say where we have sent it on to, on the open forum.....

Yes agreed CW! We just say when we have received parcel..we can say when we post it on but I dont want people to feel rushed ie to post as some like myself are not near a post office, but yes we'll say when we have received it!

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
It's getting as exciting as waiting for Santa this! Can we plot it all on Google maps too and see how far the parcel ends up travelling - just like you can track Santa on Christmas Eve?
Am I getting over excited? Probably. Time for a lie down me thinks!

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Go to bed Mrs C. You are "overtired" and need to be sent to bed.
This is a parental ploy for when children start to seriously grate on ones nerves....as you will find out soon enough...
(you are not grating btw...)

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Don't panic I did indeed go to bed. I think the nature reserve committee meeting did me in last night - either that or the non-alcoholic beer I was drinking (I still like to celebrate it being Friday) wasn't so non-alcoholic after all!
Love the pic sparhawk!

Does anyone in the seed swap want some Jerusalem Artichokes? as I will burn the small ones if no one wants any...have had enough and dug up the bed, will grow a few in a big pot in future!
Shout if you do and I will put them in the seed swap parcel...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Seeds posted onwards to next recipient!
I have added in lots of lovely seeds...some are partly opened packets but have been stored with dessicant to keep the seeds fresh.
I use the little packets of silica gel you get inside shoe boxes etc....good for keeping seeds fresh...

Gail, you will be able to take part in the current seedswap. Please PM me your address & I will sort it out .
Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Mrs N could anyone else be added on the end? Is it worth asking again, or would that cause a bit of chaos?
I have posted it on to the next recipient...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Seed package has arrived in gloomy rainy Rhomboidia. Will have a rummage and send on after the weekend.
Any idea what the squidgy brown things in the jiffy bag are?

Nothing to do with me, I pm'd Mrs N about them but she hasn't replied yet...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
I thought I might give this one a little bit of a bump as we have had a sudden influx of new friends joining the forum over the weekend.
Mrs N could I ask how peoples addresses are being handled, are they on a list that is in the bundle?
If that is the case I would like to make a suggestion to keep the information passed on to a minimum, & to keep a closer track of where the bundle is, especially as the idea has been put forward that the package just keeps travelling, an idea that I must add I wholeheartedly agree with...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Spar the address list is inside the bundle, so when it arrives one can just post it on to the next on the list...
this alos makes it relatively easy to add names on the list by pm ing whoever is last and asking them to add a few extra addresses on...or it could go back to Mrs N and she could add the nes names on and send it out again....up to her really how she wants to handle it...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
Right, thank you, I was going to suggest that Mrs N keeps the listy thing, then each person contacts her when they are ready to send on for the next addy, that way each person only gets to see one address other than Mrs N, thought it might be a bit safer...

Re: Seed Swap Anybody?
That may indeed be a better way of doing it as the forum is growing (no pun intended)
