RHS AGM Chillies
I just stumbled across the RHS trials bulletin for Chilli peppers here.
Thought some of you might be interested. I'm please to see there are three of the varieties on there I'm growing this year

You beat me to it by 10 mins!
I was just on the RHS pages to check a link in the course notes I am handing out tomorrow and say about it.
Which ones have you grown?

Re: RHS AGM Chillies
I have grown Hungarian Hot Wax, Prarie fire and Thai Dragon. I have to agree with them, they are great varieties. Prarie fire is pretty enough to be an indoor pot plant, and has "bird's eye" type chillies.
I'm a bit disappointed not to see my favourite, Capsicum pubescens "Rocoto", on the list but I guess it is probably not offered by the mainstream seed merchants. I'm also surprised to see the Habaneros all lumped together as a group, believe me Red Savina and Peach Habaneros are quite different in the mouth ...
Someone, somewhere, must have some of my saved seeds of Hungarian Hot Wax, Prarie fire, Thai Dragon and Rocoto

Re: RHS AGM Chillies
Haven't read the article yet, but I'm surprised as well that all Habaneros are lump summed together. I don't cook with them often, but I'd worked in food trades for years while going to school. You're right, I think there is a big difference. That said, is this article about growing performace, or plate performance? And do the varying cultivar of Habaneros grow fairly samely?

Re: RHS AGM Chillies
It's a bit on the late side for chilli sowing this year, but I probably have some of the varieties mentioned above left, as well as Ancho (poblano) and possibly Mulato. PM if you're interested.
