A recent forum change?
Badger, take a look at the forum as somebody not logged in would see it (a guest). No longer as it was a few days ago and I think not as you want guests to see it (essentially nothing).
We get to see that view since Penny and I share a computer and internet connection so we can't use "log me in automatic"

Re: A recent forum change?
I've just checked the non logged in view and it seems a per normal from over here. I also always see this as I and Wood Troll have to "negociate" for access to the internet and have not seen it doing anything odd...other than slow download sometimes.

Re: A recent forum change?
This is the forum portal that you can see - unfortunately, the only way I can work on it is to have it active - so it is going to look scrappy for a little while until i have it finished
Re: A recent forum change?
I saw it as just the portal, till resaved it into favourites, & I am always logged in.

Re: A recent forum change?
The portal will be a snapshot of the forums features and will have a link to the bookshop and maybe a paypal contributions button - not sure that I want that yet though - still thinking on that one.
It will also have links to How tos and Articles written by members. Hopefully. If I can persuade you all to do some.....
hint.

You'll have to be a lot less subtle than that.Badger wrote:It will also have links to How tos and Articles written by members. Hopefully. If I can persuade you all to do some.....

How about a list of articles that you'd like to see?

Oh anything that you are good at and fancy showing off . I'm told you are a pretty knowledgeable woodsman for example...

Nah. I just climb trees, then chop bits off them.Badger wrote:I'm told you are a pretty knowledgeable woodsman for example...
Looks flahy, but doesn't require encyclopaedic knowledge.
I will try and rustle something up for you somewhere down the line.
