My visit to Mike Abbotts workshop
I have already posted a bit in the Tea Room, but thought I would put up a few more photos in here.
Todays visit was part of the 21st Bodgers Ball festivities....on offer to members of the APTGW were visits to Mike's workshop in the woods, and also Clisset Wood and another ( whose name has escaped me sorry)
We walked up to the Mike's workshop past a team of working Heavy Horses doing log extraction
Fabulous views across the Herefordshire countryside.
Ancient woodland being regenerated.
The workshop in the woods
Mike splitting wood to make a chair spindle.
Lots of pole lathes!
Walking back through the woods.
All in all an absolutely wonderful day. We are so grateful to Mike, Tamsin and all the gang up there for taking the time to host us and show us around.
