Re: Knitting makes friends
As well you should be, it's gorgeous!!!!
I wonder that no one has mentioned that if that lion hat doubles as a car cover and yet fits Billy's head... I'm thinking it might be a bit like the Tardis and bigger on the in than the out.... :::running and ducking for cover as the snowballs fly o'er head:::

Jelly - that's fantastic!!! And from the pictures I've seen of Bea I can soooo picture her wearing it. Very good work there! :bigclap:

Quite startled by these pics. Bea has changed very little since these were taken, but Leo has roughly doubled in size.

Re: Knitting makes friends
They would be straight leg, rather than flares, I guess?

Re: Knitting makes friends
Now I want to knit some hat, too!
I want to knit a set of hat, scarf (long and wide) and gloves with long sleeves.
Preferably all in an aquamarine-green colour.
Can't at the moment find a nice source online. I think it would work best in 4-ply sock wool strength.
Any recommendations?

Have you looked on ravelry? They have patterns for most things on there and loads of inspiration generally.

Re: Knitting makes friends
Hat pics coming soon......it's almost finished. A few more sequins to sew on
Seils, the pattern I used was from one of the Learn to Knit Mags. I can copy it for you if you like. It's easy, had to be for me to do. It recommended Elle Marino Brights wool but I'd already bought some Freedom 100% woll by Twilleys in shades of purple, burgandy and green.
This hat is felted after it's knitted, hence me being slightly nervous as I hadn't used the recommended yarn, but I'm really pleased with it

Re: Knitting makes friends
Sorry CW - did indeed get the joke on the second attempt! :biglaugh:
Jelly - looking forward to seeing your photos. Need to get myself motivated more and actually finish some projects. Did manage to complete a pair of socks that I started last year and (if I can get the technology to work) there should be a photo below:

Edited to add - I can see the photo, but can someone please tell me how to reduce it in size? My feet look huge in it!!!

Re: Knitting makes friends
Lovely socks you have there, Mrs C!
I am currently trying to wear all my knitted socks, so once they are worn, they come into a special laundry bag until I have worked my way through all of them, should last me for a month about. I have so many socks.
But I love doing socks!
Once they are all clean I will line them up and take a photie!

Fantastic hat Jelly! :bigclap:
Yikes seils - how many pairs of knitted socks do you have? I've only ever made three. The first were something of a disaster with both being completely different lengths and the toe on one being 90 degrees out from where it should be (so it goes flat as if my toes are in a line pointing downwards rather than across!) They get worn in bed, but that's all. Love my other two pairs though. Looking forward to seeing a photo of them all lined up seils.
